The Day After Tomorrow, Hollywood’s new movie about what happens when global warming causes our climate to change abruptly, thrills audiences with its eye-popping special effects and terrifying plot turns. We’ve all heard about global warming and the problems it may cause, but just how much of what we see on the screen is possible given what scientists know to be true?

March 26th, early afternoon. I hired movers - not Best Price, even though Janos called me the other day. I'm going to start schlepping stuff up there this week though. And I've got loads to give away to Goodwill and at least one garbage bag of stuff to throw away - like the really old chicken in my freezer. Ooops.
